These terms cover repairs carried out by Borstelbeer and products bought from our shop.

Repairs

Price. The repair price is shown for your model before you order, and includes parts and VAT. Nothing gets added without asking you first.

If it can’t be repaired. If your brush turns out to be beyond repair you pay only the €15 inspection fee and we refund the difference. We’ll also tell you honestly whether a refurbished brush is the better option.

Guarantee. Our repairs come with a one-year guarantee. If the same fault returns within that year, we fix it again at no cost. The guarantee covers what we repaired, not new damage, water damage or drop damage that happens afterwards.

How long it takes. Usually within two working days of your brush arriving. That’s an expectation rather than a promise: sometimes we wait on a part. We’ll tell you if it runs longer.

Posting it to us. If you post your brush, it travels to us at your risk and back at ours. Keep your proof of postage.

Uncollected repairs. If a repaired brush goes uncollected for three months despite repeated messages, or we can’t deliver it, we may move it into our refurbished stock.

Refurbished toothbrushes

Condition. Every brush gets a cosmetic grade: Gouden Beer, Zilveren Beer, Bronzen Beer or Buitenbeertje. That describes how it looks, not how it works: technically every brush is fully checked and cleaned.

One of a kind. Refurbished units are second-hand and therefore unique. The photo represents the grade; it isn’t always the exact unit you receive.

Guarantee. Every refurbished brush comes with a one-year guarantee.

Right of withdrawal. You can cancel your order within fourteen days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Let us know and return the product in the condition you received it; return postage is yours to pay. We refund within fourteen days of receiving it back. The steps are on Returns and refunds.

The right of withdrawal applies to repairs too, but if you asked us to start straight away and the work is done, you pay for the work carried out.

Payment

Repairs are paid through Mollie, shop orders through Shopify’s checkout. The payment methods you can choose from are shown before you pay. All prices on the site include 21% VAT. Shipping is shown separately before you pay.

Liability

We work carefully, but our liability is limited to what you paid for the repair or product. We’re not liable for indirect losses. Anything that can’t legally be excluded, we don’t exclude.

Something gone wrong? Email [email protected] and we’ll work it out. If we can’t, you can take it to the courts. Dutch law applies to these terms.
